1. Identification and Origin
- Scientific name : Aerangis punctata J.Stewart
- Origin : Rainforests of East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda).
- Natural habitat : Epiphyte, growing on branches and tree trunks in shaded and well-ventilated areas, between 1,000 and 2,000 m altitude.
3. Culture Conditions (Batch of 14 in vitro plants)
Temperature
- Day: 20–26°C.
- Night: 14–16°C.
- Avoid temperatures below 12°C or above 30°C.
Humidity
- Ideal rate: 70–80%.
Light
- Intensity: Subdued to medium light (east/west window or light shade in greenhouse).
- Avoid: Direct sunlight during the hottest hours.
Watering
- In vitro: Keep the medium slightly humid, avoid stagnant water.
- Post-transplanting: Water regularly, allow to dry slightly between waterings.
Fertilizer
- In vitro: Diluted nutrient solution (1/4 dose) every 2 weeks.
