- Size : Medium-sized plant, with ovoid or fusiform pseudobulbs.
- Leaves : Leathery, lanceolate leaves, light to dark green.

- Shape : Very long and narrow petals and sepals (up to 50 cm for some clones), spider-like.
- Colour : Yellow, pale green, cream, often with brown or purple bars or spots .
- Flower size : 10 to 15 cm in diameter (excluding elongated petals).
