1. Identification and Origin
 
 
Scientific name: Hybrid between Epidendrum porpax and Epidendrum Hugomedianae.
 
 
Origin: Parent species are native to the rainforests of Central and South America (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru).
 
 
Natural habitat: Epiphytic or lithophytic, growing on tree branches, trunks, or rocks in shaded, well-ventilated areas, between 1,000 and 2,000 m in altitude.

Temperature
 
 
Day: 18–24°C.
 
 
Night: 12–15°C.
 
 
To avoid: <10°C or >28°C.

Humidity
 
 
Ideal rate: 70–80%.

Light
 
 
Intensity: Filtered to medium light (east/west window or light shading in a greenhouse).
 
 
To avoid: Direct sunlight during hot hours.

Watering
 
 
In vitro: Keep the medium slightly moist, avoid standing water.
 
 
Post-deflasking / Post-transplanting: Regular watering, allow to dry out slightly between waterings.
