- Scientific name: Hybrid between Gongora Jean-François Aguillon and Gongora atropurpurea.
- Origin: Parent species are native to the rainforests of Central and South America (Colombia, Ecuador, Costa Rica).
- Natural habitat: Epiphytic, growing on tree branches and trunks in shaded, humid, and well-ventilated areas, between 500 and 1,500 m in altitude.
3. Cultivation Conditions (Lot of 14 in vitro plants)
Temperature
- Day: 18–24°C.
- Night: 13–15°C.
- To avoid: <12°C or >28°C.
Humidity
- Ideal rate: 75–85%.
Light
- Intensity: Filtered light (east/west window or greenhouse shading).
- To avoid: Direct sunlight.
Watering
- In vitro: Keep the medium constantly moist, avoid standing water.
- Post-deflasking / Post-transplanting: Frequent watering to maintain moisture, without excess.
Fertilizer
- In vitro: Highly diluted nutrient solution (1/4 dose) every 2 weeks.
- Post-deflasking / Post-transplanting: Orchid fertilizer (1/2 dose) during active growth.
