  1. Identification and Origin
    Scientific name : Maxillaria coccinea (Jacq.) L.O.Williams ex Hodge
    Origin : Humid forests of Central America and northern South America (Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela).
    Natural habitat : Epiphytic, growing on low branches or tree trunks in shaded and well-ventilated areas, between 1,000 and 2,000 m altitude.
  2. Growing Conditions (Lot of 15 in vitro plants)
    Temperature
    Day : 18–24°C.
    Night : 12–15°C (day/night difference favors blooming).
    To avoid : <10°C or >28°C.
    Humidity
    Ideal rate : 70–80%.
    Tips : Maintain constant humidity, especially during active growth. Use a misting system for in vitro plants.
    Light
    Intensity : Filtered light (east/west window or shade cloth in a greenhouse).
    To avoid : Direct sun, especially during hot hours.
    Watering
    In vitro : Keep the medium slightly moist, avoid stagnant water.
    Post-replanting : Regular watering, let dry slightly between two applications.
    Fertilizer
    In vitro : Diluted nutrient solution (1/4 dose) every 2 weeks.
    Post-replanting : Orchid fertilizer (1/2 dose) during active growth.
    Ventilation
